“Good location - 10 min walk to Watford Junction, then around 20 mins on the train to Euston. No garden and about a 10 min walk to the nearest green space. The flat has quite a quirky interior with narrow coridors and some older features - I personally quite like this but it's not for everyone. Recently renovated quite cheaply but to an ok standard. The kitchen has a bit of an annoying layout. Decent amount of space. There is an ELECTRIC combi boiler for hot water an central heating which is very expensive to run. We ended up using plug-in oil-filled heaters but still had high bills for hot water alone. Flat is quite draughty, especially the attic bedroom. M Services, the landlord company, seems quite unprofessional. They are inconsistent in their communication and can be quite hard to contact. They ignored important issues such as slates falling from the roof onto the street and a leak in the boiler (they did eventually respond to this with much prompting - the engineer told us the boiler was damaged as the landlord had been neglecting to service it). They also attempted to blame us and shift responsibility for damages that were not our fault, such as vandalism to the main front door. However, they did return our full deposit within 1 month of move-out with minimal fuss.”
